Who We Are
Solihull Society of Arts has six sections – Art, Drama, Local History, Recorded Music, Solihull On Stage and SOSage Factory. The longest-running society for the practice and appreciation of the arts in Solihull, we celebrated our 75th birthday in 2019.
Each section has a varied programme of events running throughout the year and we’re always looking for new members. See each section’s page for more information and get in touch if you’re interested in joining!

The pandemic has understandable affected some of the activities that Solihull Society of Arts provides. Please contact the relevant section to find out what is currently taking place or when activities will resume.
Art
The Art Section is a friendly group of amateur painters, holding a variety of demonstrations, talks or practical sketching evenings with a model and/or still life.
Drama
SSA Drama present a stunning annual family pantomime, alongside other productions throughout the year. From classic plays to thrillers, Shakespeare to modern comedies.
Local History
The History Section welcome visiting speakers who explore the history of Solihull and the wider West Midlands and Warwickshire areas.
Recorded Music
The Recorded Music Circle is for lovers of music whether it be early, Baroque, classical, romantic or modern. You don’t need to be a music expert. Most of us enjoy just listening.
Solihull On Stage
Solihull on Stage is a lively, vibrant and fast-paced amateur musical society who perform each year at The Core Theatre, Solihull.
Sosage Factory
SOSage Factory are a youth musical production society of talented performers, who perform each year at The Core Theatre.
